Stamping on Patterned Paper

Recently I received a handmade card where my friend had stamped directly on patterned paper.  It is a simple idea, yet often overlooked.  I decided to try it out on my own cards using a basic butterfly and flower stamp on Basic Grey paper.  The underline is actually from my sewing machine without thread.

I was also excited to use up some of my rub-on words.  Using these helped create a variety of cards.  I added some buttons to a few of the cards (took my photos before the glue was even dry).

I encourage you to use this technique on your next handmade card.  I will definitely be using it more often.  Let me know if you have links to photos of other cards that use this idea!
