Wedding Invitations for Emily

My friend Emily is getting married next month and I jumped at the chance to make her wedding invitations.  She wanted low budget invitations (no outer and inner envelopes fanciness) but something that would still give the feel of her wedding theme.  She found this great idea online that I had never seen before – Seal and Sends.  You take a piece of cardstock, put the information on one side, seal it up, and send it off – no envelopes at all.

I stamped the inside with a large stamp from my collection in the Versamark Malted Mauve chalk ink.  Printed out the details on resume paper (blurred out in the photo) and matted it on to a shiny silver paper.  The seals were made out of the same silver paper and heat embossed with an ornate design.  Only one stamp required – RSVPs are taken care of on her website with a form.  What a great way to send an invitation!  Fifty invitations only cost $30 in supplies and half of that was the cost of the Martha Stewart doily lace punch, which I will definitely use again.

The photo does not do them justice, but you get the idea.

I am sure we will have more craftiness before her big day next month!  Looking forward to it!
